On this day, April 21st in 1989, Nintendo released the Game Boy, and the world was never the same way again. This little handheld console helped propel video games into nearly every corner of the world.

And all these years later, we still find ourselves longing for those nights, when we stayed up late playing Pokemon under the covers.
